NOT SO Wordless Wednesday Let's Go Racing Boys

Pin It Now!  Sunday Alyx and I attended the MIS Nascar Sprint Cup Pure Michigan 400 race about an hour and a half from our house in Brooklyn,MI. It was 75 and beautiful and breezy and one of the best days ever and it was Uber Awesome that my favorite driver Kyle Bush won the race. We not only had awesome seats in section 30 between the start/finish line and turn 4 but for Alyx's Birthday we got Pit Passes and Acceleration Club access. It was the way to go...
Here are some highlights from our day.

Nothing has been simple about this Summer so I have been lagging on my daybook entries but I am vowing to be better now that Summer is winding down and school will be in full swing coming up in a couple weeks.

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...

It is another Gorgeous Day of mild temps and Sunny blue skies. I can also see my garage in its first stages of rebuild and it is exciting all the walls are framed and up.

It actually looks like a building of some sorts.

I am thinking...about a dear friend of the family that lost her battle with Cancer this past weekend. I am praying for comfort for her family.

I am thankful... for everyone's health this Month and that things are going rather smoothly amongst the chaos of life.

From the learning rooms...(if this applies)Lots and Lots of school supplies and many things needing organizing. This will be my huge project next week because this week it is still part garage until the end of the week. Although we have been working with some learning items that we have received to review from the TOS CREW. I will be sharing them with you coming up in September.

In the kitchen...nothing going on but this weekend there are plans to bake zucchini bread YUMMY

I am wearing...Jean Capri's, a polo and my new Nascar Zip hoody that I got at the race on Sunday at MIS

I am creating...my lesson plans for the school year does that count? LOL

I am going...to be holding my first Thrity One party tomorrow night, there are about 12 woman coming so I am super excited.

I am wondering...if the rain will hold off so my new Garage will indeed get finished before the weekend.

I am reading...Courageous

I am hoping...that Nick gets the classes he wanted for school this year, he has registration this morning at 10 and he will get his new ID and schedule. He is starting 10th grade this year, it just doesn't seem possible, in a few short weeks he will begin Driver's Ed

I am looking forward to...getting life back to our regular scheduled programming. School,  Homeschool, Garage done, Royal Rangers, Small Group, Enrich and so on and so forth.

I am hearing...Bailey chomping on a treat, the fan running and the kids watching Myth Busters.

Around the house...unorganization due to many things from the garage still in our house. I cannot wait to get back to my normal organized life.

I am pondering...some workshop ideas for some fall Stamp Camps for my SU! business.

One of my favorite things...is listening to the kids playing with the puppy.

A few plans for the rest of the week: lunch today with my Grandma, Mom and one of my Grandma's friends. Thirty One party tomorrow, Garage being finished and the Funeral of our friend Linda. Saturday Lunch with Mom and friends and Sunday Church and the Church Picnic at the park.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...My 5 yr old  niece Carly who was attacked by a dog 10 days ago. She needed plastic surgery and 31 stitches. We are praying that the skin by her chin heals and doesn't die out so that an additional surgery will not be needed. She is healing well and we continue to pray.

Demolition Day July 27 2011

Pin It Now!   Slowly I am starting to see the light when it comes to our New Garage, it has been a slow process but a neat one to chronicle by photos, especially since the week the demo took place my kids were off at camp so they did not get to see it first hand. I on the other hand sat in my patio chair and watched the whole thing it was pretty interesting to say the least. One of the fun parts is the contractor that is doing the demo and rebuild is a childhood friend's brother who just happens to be my neighbor.
We just got the final approval from the city to start construction of the new garage and this process will start on Monday the 22nd.  I know it is just a garage but I am getting excited as it is a continued sign of a FRESH START...
