One thing or another

Pin It Now!    The last few weeks have been insanely busy and things have been going ca put one after another, last week our microwave died on Tuesday while I was at stamp club, I hate being forced into buying things I like to make informed decisions not spur of the moment ones, Thursday was my Mom's Birthday we went to Enrich, then out to dinner with my parents and then I took my mom to Grosse Pointe Theater to see Relatively Speaking for part of her present. I also made her one of my rag purses that I have been on a kick making lately.  It was very funny, Friday we had bowling and the kids left for Winter Blast with church. They had a Fantastic time and have not stopped talking about it since they got home.
Saturday I went to my first Downline meeting in Romeo since rejoining Stampin UP. My business is off to a wonderful start and have already had one $300 workshop and I am going to a friend from church's stamp group get together for a stamp a stack and workshop on this Thursday barring the blizzard that the weather men are threatening us with. I even broke down and we went to buy a snow blower for the first time in 16 years. SO I am most certain there will be no snow since I did that.
Saturday while I was at the downline meeting I got a voicemail from my hubby letting me know that our washer DIED, really are you kidding? SO my Dad assessed the situation and reported that it is DOA.
So off to Sears we went to scope out a new washer and left the proud owners of a new HE Front Loader by Samsung, and have now decided since it was delivered today that we need the matching dryer so we will be doing that in the next week. We are no hurry as of yet as we have a working dryer so in due time that will be delivered to pair with its matching Washer.
Here is a photo of our new washer

Sunday was a typical Sunday church, and then some errands and then laundry at my parents last night that with their tiny machine took my 2 laundry baskets over 4 loads
I was there forever doing laundry UGGH.

Today the new Washer was delivered, tomorrow is small group and home school rollerskating, Wednesday is church and Royal Rangers if we do not get canceled due to the Blizzard coming, and Thursday is Enrich and hopefully my Stamp workshop. Friday the boys will be attending their second Art class and then we will be having a Chinese New Year Celebration with some friends.  Then the weekend with some fun Surprises planned for my family.
I think February should be a much calmer month, but who am I kidding, right?

Precious Moments Storybook Bible Review

Pin It Now!

I love reviewing Bibles, especially children's Bibles, they make great gifts and what better gift to give than that of God's Word written especially for little ones.
We have a bunch of Baby showers coming up and I think this would make the best addition to any baby shower, new arrival or Baptism Gift. A gift to be treasured always there is a dedication page in the front and a beautiful padded cover, with a picture of a Mommy reading the Bible to children.
The book is beautifully written and illustrated, as a long time follower of Precious Moments this especially touched my heart. Another feature I loved about this book, was toward the back there are simple prayers to teach young children as well as pages that are blank and awaiting for you to write in prayers that are near and dear to your family or maybe ones that you and the children think up. What a treasured Keepsake to be handed down for generations.

Book Description

In this special Bible storybook, beloved Bible stories are combined with the endearing art of Sam Butcher's Precious Moments® characters.

Every story is illustrated with full color borders that playfully decorate the page along with large images to help bring the Bible story to life for your child. Their interest will stay on the page as you read the delightful paraphrased stories from the International Children's Bible® while they are entertained by the art that has engaged millions of children around the world. The text is a large and very readable 14-point size. . . great for beginning readers! Also included will be a section for children's songs, special prayers, and a presentation section with family tree, etc.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Time to continue the weightloss journey

Pin It Now!   I admit I slacked on my weight loss journey big time, after losing 50 lbs I thought I could just trudge along and not document or hold myself accountable Boy was I wrong, so today I took a Giant Step forward and returned to Weight Watchers and much to my surprise there was a friend there starting her journey too, 2 of my best friends are also restarting their journey but they don't attend the same meetings as one works and they both live a bit away but at least we can all account to each other and it will help make this journey more fun. I cannot wait till the weather warms up so we can all start walking again.
But in the mean time we will do Wii Fit and Body Gospel here at home.
I will keep updating here as to my loss or gains each Monday so I can track and journal about my weight loss struggles.

What has been happening around here lately!!

Pin It Now! Last week was a whirlwind after the Holiday Break and it was sure hard to get back into the swing of things.
On Monday Nick returned to school and we started the day off with chores and getting our home blessed for the week. Then it was off to start our school work for the week, the day went slow as the boys were very out of sorts from being structure free for almost 3 weeks.
Tuesday went better than Monday but still not perfect,as each day went by things got back on track steadily. Wednesday Night the boys had a bowling field trip with Royal Rangers and they had a blast. Thursday was our first day back at Enrich and the boys were so happy that Daddy made the commitment to come along every week with us, he arranged his work schedule to have Thursdays off until Summer. Way to go Daddy!! SO we went to Enrich and Alyx is taking Home Improvement, Submarines, Shipwrecks and Sea life, and Answers in Genesis... Taylor is taking More Mind Games, Karate taught by an actual instructor he is so excited, and Continental Crafts, he made a Chinese Lantern on Thursday that is pretty cool.
Friday was a new experience as the boys went with friends to an Art Class at a local Church taught by Mr. West they were there for 4 hours and even took a packed lunch, their art work was beautiful, I hope to take pics of the art work and Taylor's Chinese Lantern and post them later, Alyx gave his Art to Nana to hang at her house so he is already gone but I will remember next month to take pics right away. Dave was off and we got to do errands and go out to lunch before his Dr Appt. It was such a nice break. I will definitely look forward to it each month.
Saturday was a laid back kind of day and Sunday I woke up to a back that had decided to go out on me and I was not moving very well, so we had to miss church so I could take a muscle relaxer and pain meds, thankfully by afternoon I was starting to feel better and Taylor went off to his friends, Ethan and Franklin's Birthday party it was a Nerf Wars Party and he had so much fun playing with all the boys. It is so nice to see him finally make real friends, whom he has fun with, and shares many common interests with. It helps too they are a homeschool family too and go to our church so we get to see them often.
Today is back to the grind, just waiting for Alyx and Dave to get up so we can do our Home Blessing and get to work on school, tomorrow our Bible Study starts a new lesson for 6 weeks and we are looking forward to it Dave and I have missed it so much.
Wednesday is of course Royal Rangers and Thursday Enrich and Friday Dave and I get back to bowling it will have been a month by the time we bowl Friday because our regular bowling night fell on New Year's Eve. Saturday is my monthly lunch with my girls I look forward to that as well.
So as usual it is a busy adventurous week in The Kazz household full of learning and adventures.

I am thankful for...my husbands hours picking up at work and for 2 weeks in a row of 2 very nice checks and that income tax season is upon us and with that brings us a nice chunk of money to do some improvements like we want(POOL) top of our list

From the learning rooms...(if this applies)Alyx and Taylor laughing as they put together our new Puzzle from Christmas from Mrs. Geri

From the kitchen...My hubby making his lunch and doing the dishes Gotta Love that!!

I am wearing...Jeans and a long sleeve stripes purple shirt and my sneakers

I am reading...Montana Destiny

I am hoping...my new cell phone arrives shortly they are supposed to be here by 3 PM we will see

I am hearing...K-Love Radio on my computer Cannot live without K-Love

Around the house...All is tidy and the living room is looking a little empty we traded in our sectional for a new couch but are on the lookout for a loveseat and have not found the one we want yet so the living room is looking a little off balance
