A year with God (Daliy Devotional) Review

Pin It Now!

I think my favorite types of Christian Reading has to be daily devotionals they are all so different and help lend a hand in my journey to become closer to God.  This one particularly helps explain God's word so you can understand it and apply to happenings in your daily life. I love being able to absorb God's word in sections that are broken in down in devotional books and this is no exception.
Here is the description from the publisher

Book Description

A 365-day devotional featuring the actual spoken words of God as presented in the Bible.

Too many times the impact and grandness of the actual words God spoke, as recorded in the Bible, are lost in the telling of the story. In A Year with God, the primary focus is to allow the scriptures that contain God's dialogue and the revelations of himself to uniquely speak to the reader. The author follows each reading with insights and applications to help explain the context and nuances of the text. The unique titling of each meditation and the nontraditional themes and organization help bring God to our daily lives. Topics include:

Hope and Fear Love and Hate Perseverance and Quitting Faith and Doubt Loyalty and Betrayal Companionship and Isolation Mercy and Judgment Forgiveness and Anger Joy and Sadness Peace and Conflict

Everyone experiences these emotions at certain times in their lives and devotionals are a great way for you to explore these emotions within the Word of God. It helps you to come to peace with these tough times and help you work through them.

I highly recommend this devotional if you are looking for a new one to begin reading, this is suitable for men and women alike.
